Educate yourself on the issue. The SBE website is filled with information to help you get a brief overview of the issue or to assist you in doing your own in depth research.
Attend South Bend Common Council meetings on the 2nd and 4th Monday each month. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM and are held on the 4th floor of the Council Chambers in the County City Building.Information on what you can do at the meetings can be found here.
Pass along what you learn here. There are still far too many people
who aren't aware that discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity is legal in South Bend and that there is currently no local, state or federal recourse for this.
